). I moved to Park View, Iowa. According to Wikipedia, Park View is not even a town. It is a "census-designated place" or CDP if you want it to sound more official. Whatever it is, I tend to call Park View Farmville instead. Farmville is basically like one big neighborhood bordered by farms. There is a gas station which is THEE place to be in town. There was even a line one day to get gas when one of the pumps was out of order after being hit by a car. How someone managed to hit a gas station pump is beyond me but people in Farmville definitely found a way. There is also a restaurant that I'm afraid to enter. If I ever do, I'll let you know the details. Farmville started as a wonderful place to live, then turned terrible, and has now been upgraded back to "good." I live in a three bedroom townhouse which is very nice and quite frankly, more space than I need. Addie enjoys the space though and travels from room to room throughout the day finding new places to nap. There is a small yard which is also very nice for the dogs. The negativity of living there came when my neighbors threw parties until all hours of the night during the week. That has stopped now that two of them moved and the other two found jobs after getting their driver's licenses back. Things are looking up in the neighborhood now.
). I started my job May 31st which means I've been working almost three months. Although I would love to elaborate on the details of my job, I feel as though I should not in order to remain professional. I will say that things are going well and I'm happy with my career choice. That's all that really matters.
). Because Farmville is so close to Dubuque, I return to Dubuque very often to visit my family, which now includes Sadie and John's Stella. Stella is a very happy baby and a joy to be around. We recently celebrated Sadie's birthday and spent time at the church festival, both of which were a ton of fun and made me realize how fortunate I am to live so close to home right now.
). I'm developing hobbies --although this might not be exciting news to anyone but me. I always feel like I have no hobbies so it's exciting to have things to do for fun besides watching hours of TV after work. I'd rather feel like a more productive individual and watching TV doesn't really cut it. I recently finished reading a book, which was very enjoyable, and have now started the next one. If I have any wise thoughts or lessons from these books, that will probably be my next topic to write about.
That's the quick recap. Until next time..
